Upgrade components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to provide an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is utilized. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as an incentive, or even created by crafting materials. Alongside providing bonus attributes upgrades can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Upgrade components include inscriptions, enhancements and infusions. They are generally not available for general use, and they are only available to ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions and enrichments can be recovered from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items can be exchanged and reused while still attached to the item that is being upgraded. These upgrade item s can be used to boost weapon and armor quality without the expense of Dilithium. They can double the chances that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
An upgrade component placed in an item may be replaced with a different one but it is not able to replace the previous one (except for upgrades to legendaries and equipment with ascended levels). Only upgraded items that have an identification level of 0 or greater can have upgrade components added to them. Adding an upgrade to a weapon that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item in the same way as it appears in game (for example adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to 3 upgrade items at any one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic accessory to any item. They provide unique advantages and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes on an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be obtained through dungeons, and some can even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It's important to remember that glyphs are only available to characters who have created a dungeon that has the same depth.

To make use of a Glyph first, you need to build it from components and connect them with anchors. The component will then automatically align with other components or paths within the same layer. If you don't want create the glyph from components, you can build it by combining paths and anchors. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to hold it into place.
Some glyphs require certain conditions to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a particular number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could be a challenge to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs are able to be applied to a variety of weapons and objects, except for those belonging to a specific class. item upgrades come with additional requirements, like a certain amount of Dexterity damage, or Attack damage on a specific area of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of blocking enemy attacks by five percent. It also has 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
Certain glyphs can also be applied to restricted tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs in the game are the attack glyphs, which increase Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that employ weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used for rerolling results that are rolled during an Action. They are discarded when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens can be obtained in many ways, such as through raids and dungeons, or through participation in skirmishes. You can also purchase them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials because they let players play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.
For items in the range of 1, there are values for recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a certain number of points to the upgrade gauge. This is based on the rarity of the item and its level. The upgraded item also will not keep its level when rerolled and the cost to recycle an upgraded item rises when its level increases.
Alternatively, a player can make use of reroll tokens to roll an upgrade item again, but this will not return the item to its original condition or provide its original extra statistics. This is useful for those who wish to reroll an item they don't love and would like to keep it in their collection.
Three types of upgrade coins are available in the game - reroll, randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll come in three different levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create an item of the same quality.
To use rerolling tokens choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token you want to use. The available tokens include Item, Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. A Weapon or Misc token can create a new weapon of the same faction.
The item can be upgraded to a different item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This could occur if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or was transferred to it as part of an franchise card.
